Dot&Key Vitamin C Serum Concentrate - Review.

Dot & Key is one brand that has been all over social media for the last few years and one I’ve been very intrigued by. Their Vitamin C serum is one of their star products. Read on to find out if it worked for my dry skin.

Affordability Factor

The Dot And Key Vitamin C Serum retails for Rs. 1095 for 30 ml of product, which could seem expensive but I feel like it is worth the price because it is not a gimmicky product. The serum shows results that it promises to show and the packaging it also better than average. What's even better is that Nykaa and The official site of Dot and Key are always running great deals and you can always get this serum at a discounted price.

How I Use This Product

I take four to five drops of this serum on my palms, rub them together and pat it into my face post face wash and toner. I make sure to follow this up with my moisturizer and SPF if I've applied it during the day. You can skip the SPF if you apply this during the night.

My Experience

I like the packaging of the product. It comes in a thick cardboard outer packaging with magnetic closure which you can keep to store the bottle in. The bottle itself is made of good quality sturdy plastic and the dropper dispenser is also extremely good quality. Nothing feels flimsy or cheap quality.

The outer packaging

Keeping the serum in this packaging will prevent the serum from going bad quickly.

The bottle and the dropper.

The Vitamin C serum is runny in consistency and absorbs into the skin within seconds, leaving no greasy or heavy feeling behind. You only need four-five drops to cover your entire face. The serum does make your face feel soft upon initial application but you have to follow it up with a moisturiser otherwise your skin will feel dry and stretchy.

I have extremely dry skin and when I started using this product, my skin was extra dry and peeling because of a face waxing experience that went wrong. My skin was burnt and peeling around my mouth region and I had dry patches on the rest of my face along with a few acne scars on both sides of my cheeks so I feel, my skin was basically at its worst when I tried this product out.

And let me tell you, after just two weeks of using this product (and few more things I did differently) all the dry patches were gone and the burn marks have faded considerably. My skin feels softer than ever and I can feel a considerable difference in my skin texture. But the biggest difference I can see is in the reduction of my acne scars and marks. Where just a few days ago, I had scars on both sides of my cheeks, I now have just two on each side.

I also feel the Vitamin C serum has brightened my skin because I can see a healthy glow on my cheeks when I tilt my cheekbones toward the light, something that is not at all a common sight for my dry, dull skin. I am so happy with the results I got with just two weeks of using this product and I can’t wait to see how it fares on the rest of my acne scars.

**Side note** *It is extremely important that you use sunscreen if you use any kind of active ingredient in your skincare routine. Spf 30 if you stay indoors and not less than SPF 50 if you are going out and getting sun exposure. Not doing this after using Vitamin C can cause skin irritation and even burns on your face. *
