Revlon Brazillian Tan | Review and Swatches

I am a big fan of nude lipsticks. I have a decent collection of nude lipsticks, yet it is so difficult to stop myself from buying more when I come across some that appeal to me. I'm sure I'm not the only one who needs to go to rehab for their addiction for nude lipsticks!

I recently watched a video by Dacey Cash where she talked about some of her favourite nude lipsticks and she mentioned the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in the shade Brazillian Tan.

The moment she swatched it on her lips, I was sold. I immediately went on Nykaa, praying they'd have it in stock and what do ya know? They did!

Packaging

The lipstick comes in a black bullet with a golden stripe in the middle that displays the name of the brand, namely, Revlon. The cap is transparent at the top so the colour of the lipstick will be visible if you store it straight. The bottom has a colour coded sticker with the name of the lipstick.

The lipstick

The lipstick in a creme finish so it is not matte, which is something I look for in my everyday lipsticks.

It glides on the lips effortlessly and has a satiny finish. It does not look glossy on the lips, but doesn't look matte either. The satin finish makes the lips look plump and hydrated. Overall, a very natural finish.

Brazillian Tan has the most beautiful golden tan undertone. It doesn't pull too pink, too mauve ot too brown which means it can go with any makeup look you wear. It's majorly neutral colour ensures that it won't clash with your blush or eyeshadow. I am particularly excited to try this with a smokey eye. I can say with absolute certainly that I don't have a colour like this in my collection.

It is a sheer lipstick, with one swipe, the colour blends in with the colour of the lips and almost looks like a hydrating lipbalm. But it can be built up to an opaque coverage, as is shown in the picture above. Once built up with three swipes, it is a beautiful neutral-leaning warm nude.

This shade would look gorgeous on fair to medium skintones. People upto NC45 can rock this colour with no problem. People over NC35 and above will need a darker nude lipliner underneath and this will give you the perfect 90s supermodel lip!

The transfer on this lipstick is very minimal which is shocking since it is such a creamy lipstick. Once you blot it with a paper or the back of your hand, it won't transfer anymore. But this doesn't mean it is supremely long lasting. If you are eating and drinking, it will wear off but not in an unattractive way. But this shouldn't be a problem because unlike liquid lipsticks, these kind of lipsticks can be reapplied without any streakiness or patchiness. You can just pop this in your purse and touch it up on the go. The colour is so natural, you won't even need a mirror!

I've applied this in natural lighting, wearing no makeup and you can see how beautiful it looks on just bare skin. For skintone reference, I'm NC25 in M.A.C., 128 Warm Nude in Maybelline Fit Me and Golden Beige in L'oreal Paris Fresh Wear.
